Achieve The Gap
Share
It’s easy to look at someone operating at a higher level and focus on the gap.
Their business is bigger. Their results are stronger. Their confidence seems greater. They’re already standing where you want to be.
Look up to them — but don’t put them on a pedestal so high that their success starts to feel impossible.
That gap is attainable.
The people ahead of you can be proof of possibility rather than proof of your limitations. In fact, one of the most useful approaches to growth is studying people who have already achieved a similar outcome, identifying the patterns behind their progress, and adapting those lessons to your own circumstances.
You don’t need their exact journey. You don’t have their circumstances, experience or opportunities — and they didn’t start with everything they know today either.
So admire the result, then study the road.
What did they do consistently? What did they learn? What sacrifices did they make? What mistakes can you avoid?
Then get to work closing the gap.
Not overnight. Not by copying them.
Step by step, lesson by lesson, improvement by improvement.
Look up to them. Learn from them. Then remind yourself: someone being ahead of you doesn’t mean they’re unreachable.
