Take the Path of Most Resistance
Share
There’s a reason we’re drawn to the easier path. It’s comfortable. Predictable. Safe.
But sometimes, the path of most resistance is exactly where we need to go.
It’s the path that asks more of us. The one that makes us question whether we’re capable, prepared, or brave enough. It might mean starting again, speaking up, choosing differently, or continuing when quitting would be easier.
Resistance isn’t always a warning to turn around. Sometimes, it’s a sign that we’re moving beyond what’s familiar.
Think about climbing a mountain. The steepest sections demand more effort, concentration and courage. You can’t rush them. Every foothold matters. Yet with every difficult step, you gain something the easier trail couldn’t give you: strength, perspective and confidence in what you can handle.
Life can work the same way.
Choosing the difficult path doesn’t mean seeking struggle for the sake of it. Some obstacles are simply obstacles, and walking away can be the wisest choice. But when resistance sits between you and something meaningful, discomfort can become part of the journey rather than a reason to abandon it.
The easy road may get you there faster.
The harder road might change who you are along the way.
And sometimes, that’s the destination that matters most.
